Thailand
Koh Samed
The first
thing that you will notice about Koh Samed is its
pristine white beach - sparkling and tranquil, a perfect
babymoon getaway for you and your spouse. Koh Samed is
not popular for a vibrant nightlife, nor is it famous for
diving facilities. However it is much preferred by
couples for its laid-back life and restive ambience. As a
pregnant mom, you would not want to go to a holiday
destination that bustles with high energy and excitement.
You would rather go to a calm and peaceful destination
that brings you comfort and pleasure during your time of
hope and expectancy.
The
island of Koh Samed is small in size, and is situated in
the Rayong Province. It is very
convenient to reach this island as it is easily
accessible from Bangkok. Both Thais and western tourists
favor this island for its calm atmosphere. If you are
looking for a relaxing and peaceful babymoon, Koh Samed
is the perfect choice.

If you
happen to visit Koh Samed from May to September, you may
experience a little bit of rain; however Koh Samed
experiences lesser amount of rainfall compared to other
places in Thailand. Instead of being a dampener, the rain
will add to the romance of your babymoon, turning
everything around you fresher and
greener.
Koh Samed
is widely known for its rare and beautiful corals that
add to the irresistible appeal of the island. Compared to
the other island destinations of Thailand, Koh Samed is
quieter and has not yet been bogged down by frenzied
tourist activities. This might actually suit your
requirements as a pregnant mom. A quiet and peaceful
babymoon would do you and your spouse much good; you have
all the time in the world to laze through the silky white
sands and enjoy the lapping waters of the blue
sea.
Time is
not a concern in Koh Samed - everything is slow, easy and
gentle. This is the perfect time for you to relax and
enjoy a beach holiday as you nurture the little life
inside you.
If Asian
temples fascinate you, Koh Samed offers you a great
opportunity to visit a few Buddhist
temples around the beach. A visit to one of
these Buddhist temples is worth the visit, especially to
observe the entrancing Thai
architecture.
When in
Koh Samed, make sure that you don’t miss the breathtaking
sunsets. Every evening you can go to different locations
to catch a glimpse of the sun going down the
sea.
A visit
to Diamond Beach or Hat Sai Kaew is also
recommended. This beach is one of the most spectacular
beaches in Koh Samed. Hat Sai Kaew means “crystal
sand beach” - an apt name for a beautiful beach.
Pregnant moms will love to take a walk through these soft
sands and wet their feet on the shore. You can choose to
stay in a bungalow or a villa; make sure that you choose
a room that comes with a wonderful
view.
Ao
Phrao is the most tranquil beach in Koh Samed.
Couples out on a quiet babymoon will love this island for
its serene ambience, lovely white sand and the blue
sea.
Moms-to-be
can go for a relaxing yoga session at the Sea
Breeze Restaurant at Ao Pay Beach. Here you will
find an experienced yoga teacher who will help you relax.
However, moms-to-be are advised to first consult with
their doctor if any mild form of yoga is safe for their
condition. You could also go for special massages suited
for pregnant moms, such as a relaxing foot
massage.
There are
several places that you can also visit for a good massage
- Ao Prao Resort, Dhivarin Spa, Le Vimarn
Cottages & Spa, and many
others.
